A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Last season i took my 79 gs 750 to the track and ran a best time of 6.63......it has an 844 big bore kit 10-1/4 forged pistons megacycle cam and ported and polished head...lowered the front, dropped the ass end 3" and put 4" slick on it....just curious of other peoples times

I see many 1500cc street bikes at the strip in the 8 second range for 1/8 mile. -- some others in the 8 sec range for the quarter...

high 6 and on a mid size 80s' bike is waayy above average - First you went to a real track and passed tech !! Good for you!! the sport is losing numbers - so I hope you do it again and much more often.

what was the MPH? what carbs?

if I remember correctly - not looking at the log book. my pro bike ran around 5.3XX at 118 mph range I ran a really low comp 1428 last year.

My 98 1200 Bandit street et bike 66'' wheel base 1216cc 30/26 ported head,.100 off head,.400 int..370 exh. 109/111 L/C 41mm Keihins, wanna race went 6.06 @ 119 mph 1.52 60' footer with Jr. riding it in the 1/8 mile.

Wow that's fast. ......call me nuts but I believe in the old fashion way of racing ....hand clutch foot shift......no 2 step box or air shifter

Yeah, I know Steve that is a great deal on that bike ! I have a nice old school Kosman chassis. I would need to build a engine for it and up grade the brakes... it would be a fun project.

Plus im on a tight budget this year....maybe next year. ..ill ask santa claus....no matter what im racing. ....its my drug of choice. ...dont matter how big it is....just race it!!!
