A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Red coats 2, 3 and 4 applied. No runs drips or errors. Picked up a bit of dust on top of tank but it will sand out with the clear. Overall for using a 1985 model binks siphon mini gun and leftover aircraft paint, very happy. Now I will let it dry till tomorrow and then spray the white and do the pinstripes. White is leftover jet-glo matterhorn white and got one shot imitation gold for the stripes

One more tank shot, the doi and gloss is nice for what i started with I think

The old binks mini is good for small jobs, it did fine for this and will be fine for the white. Gonna do the pinstripes by hand, been 15+ years since i've tried em

Finished taping off for the stripes and got them shot with 3 coats. Cleaning up some edges.

If anyone has a 78 tank with stock or repro pinstripes I could use a hand.

Need the width measurements of the stripes, and also distance in between them and the distance from the indentation. Just one set of measurements from say the mid point top of the indent would do, I can interpret from there. Thanks in advance.

deja vu.....looks like what Svsooke is doing.....reds are a bit different....

nice work...by the way....

Will do after dinner...

Bike is looking GOOD! You're doing an awesome job.:D

Keep going...

Except I haven't had a chance to get that far. I've been filing out a tiny little washer for a fuel mixture screw.

The close up picture will do it, I can calculate the stripes base on the indentation, thanks so much. Tried to do it off some other google shots but none were close up enough.

Bummer, I feel your pain as I have been there. On the bright side, I bet you will do a great job on the second go. Don't give up
