A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

oljo here,,,sorry about the picture mess up .i got a couple on gs owners finally. as for the little wobble i've still got. i had the wheel checked on the shops axle. the young tech said the wheel was straight and he thought it was the tire.the guy i'm dealing with ordered the first and second tire . and he could still see the wobble but it was a little better.i 'm pretty sure i haven't paid enough for a good tire,it's just odd that both tires have the same wobble.the brand name is kings tire. any body ever dealt with this tire and had the same problems? this problem is keeping me from being able to stretch out and tune er in.it's always about a quarter of a tire wobble and then straightens back out.maybe someone could recommend a good but not too expensive tire to buy.it seems like every problem i've worked out is mainly because the bike sat on its side stand for who knows how long.i still wonder if this could effect the axle? i would try a new one if i thought there was a 50/50 chance of improving the wobble. thanks in advance for any info. you have all helped me a lot already. oh yeah,,one more thing,,,like i need it! check this idea i got from a friend.is it possible to replace the stock rear sprocket with a smaller one ,to gain gear to gear time? just wondering,,,,,,oljo

Spend a few bucks get decent tires, it's a motorcycle not a KIA Corolla. A smaller rear sprocket will give you more gear to gear time. Why would you want that?

gear time

gear time

I guess i'm thinking it would be easier on the engine not to tack up as quick,,,i dont know. i'm not a fast driver. Here's another crazy idea. Whats the chances of converting this bike to belt drive?,,before i buy a new chain and some prockets? I know,,,i work for the county, i've got a lot of road time to think about other things.I"M also thinkin after awhile with this bike,i'd like to take on somemore horsepower.Any suggestions on a good fixer upper in the 1000 or more cc range? affordable older bike of course!

Hi Mr. OLJOCLARK,

Do these tires have tubes in them? Are the tubes kinked?

I never seen anyone convert a chain drive to a belt drive, but I'm sure it's possible given enough time and money.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Yes they do have tubes.I've actually thought about that, but didn't want to insult my mechanic by asking him,but i think it is about time to.Have you seen this problem before? I'm dealing with an small shop that mainly works on newer bikes and also drags a couple of his own. thanks oljo
