    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

You don't need to hit the Lotto, you need to put those reproduction decals up on Ebay, one set at a time, and you will be rolling in it:dancing:

Thanks for the kind words everybody. The best compliments always comes from ones' peers. I was actually lamenting the quality of the pics if for no other reason then they're inside under florecsent lighting. Real, late afternoon sunlight is the best, but in short demand around here this time of year. I've been on my website guy's butt for weeks about updating my galleries, for just what you're suggesting, to no avail..arrgghh..even though he's a good friend, I might have to find someone else. :-k

So, Meguir's #7 can be used immediately, or as needed?

Any real need for #26 at all, assuming upkeep with #7, considering this will be a fair weather bike!
 
I received my parts from Larry today. I will post some pictures later, and hope I can capture the fantastic job.

As nice as the pictures Larry posted look, they simply do not do his work justice.

Larry mentioned he has the "colors dialed in", no doubt! In the pictures, the white looks bright. In person, it has that slight off white look that works perfect with the blue.

Maybe I don't have sensitive finger tips, but I can't feel any decals!!

Not being an artist, I doubt I can describe it well but, the paint has this incredible depth to it. I have owned several cars, boats, trucks and bikes.....some right off the showroom floor and have never seen paint this nice.

I can't stop looking at:dancing:

Very glad to hear the parts arrived safely. Thanks for the call earlier today, Rich, and thanks also for the compliments. Your fingers are working just fine..:D..there are no stripe/decal edges to feel on that baby.

As far as the Meguiars #7, yes, you can use it as often as you like. It does a great job of keeping the paint looking nice, but you still want to protect it once it's cured in 90 days by putting on a couple good coats of wax, too. The #26 Meguiars is a terrific product. Once or twice a year, with the occaisional #7 inbetween, will be all that you need.

I ended up repainting the front calipers again. I didn't like the finish of my previous attempt (too shiney). This is a real close match to the factory finish.

New OEM brake lines installed. Front lines are still available (current date).

Looks nice. Just make sure you put that spedo nut back on. :)

There is no badging. I have a print out of a Yoshimura fitment chart.

Shows Yoshi # 3150 is for GS 750/850/1000 for years 77-82. The header is stamped with the numbers 3150.

Came from a former bike shop owner on the West Coast.
