DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Does anyone know where I can get a smaller more sleak tail light? I am going for a cafe look. I am also searching for clubman bars and have know idea which size will fit. I'd then like to change out the tach and speedo to a more updated racer style, any ideas?.

http://www.flyncycle.com/

They have alot of really cool stuff for very reasonable prices.
LED turn signals, LED tail lights, ect ect ect.

I ordered an "Airblade" flyscreen from them and they were very nice and informative on the phone and were very prompt with shipping.

They also have an EBAY store to buy from as well.

I will definatly do buisiness with them again.

Oh, they have neat tail lights there, I'll have to bookmark them.

I've got some clipons I'd be willing to part with. My buddy didn't want 'em on the 450 when I gave it to him.

Didn't exactly sell it,...I gave it to my best friend as a wedding gift, although he has yet to pick it up. He didn't want the clipons, so I'm selling them. I was gonna wait until the spring, but if some GS'rs want 'em,...

as far as I know any handlebar that is 7/8" will fit on the bike. I ordered "Bikemaster" clubman bars a few months back from Parts Unlimited for $10.

Do you have a price and any pics of the clip ons?

Parts Unlimited has some nice a$$ stuff! Question: anyone know what mm clip-ons a 1980 GS 450e would use?

This is more of a tech question buy seeing I am here I'll give it a shot. I just rebuilt my petcock (who came up with that name...). It's the on/res vacuum type that doesn't have an off. Anyways it still drips gass. My question is does the gas cap need to be air tight for it to work(not drip) because I can hear air seeping from the gas caps seal.

Thanks

Shawn

Also I am stripping my bike for paint in the next couple days so i'll need to get some pics up of the progress. If you have a pair of rearsets you want out of the garage let me know.

Wow! Clip-ons are expensive! I could sell these for $150 and still save you guys some money.

Not that I'd do that.

And 35mm is the size you want, or so I was told.

The caps are vented, so no they are not air tight. If you are dripping when no vaccuum is applied then your petcock is leaking, it shouldn't even leak if the cap is completely off...
