A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hello all, I am about to rebuild my carbs on my new to me 750. The PO put on a Mac exhaust on there, but I'm not sure if he rejetted the carb to match. How would I go about checking that I am running the right jets? Assuming they are wrong how would I go about finding what jets I'm using. Still running a stock airfilter on the other end of things. Thanks in advance!

That's the answer I was secretly hoping for, but am still new to all this. I wanted to cover my bases instead of finding out otherwise after redoing everything.

I don't think the Mac pipe warrants a jetting change.
I would disagree, as I'm running that very setup (mac 4-1, stock airbox, stock jetting), and I'm less than pleased with the way it runs.

Takes a bit too long IMO to 'heat up' and be ready to ride (at least 3-5 minutes idle from dead cold to not gag from 3-4K on takeoff) , also pops like CRAZY on decel/let-off, and lacks the low end kick I think it should have.

Now I will say that I'm not terribly sure if it's dirty carbs causing my issue as I've never run it without the Mac, but these are the issues I have and I can't help but attribute them to jetting issues.

I think a DJ 1 Kit would do this thing wonders. But I'm not a carb expert so take it for what its worth.

Could be dirty carbs or carbs that are out of sync.

Mine isn't the 4 into 1 but instead the turned out ones that don't look too far off from the factory ones. I don't know if that makes a difference or not.
