I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Yeah I saw lots today on the yellowhead. I wasn't one of them. Was delivering my father in laws Madura to Lloydminster. Then came home and tinkered on mine. Heres a shot of the bike with the new tires and also painted my headlight bucket black. looks much better in my opinion. I think the engine covers are the next thing on my list. Need to be black. Its good to have the bike home again and be able to tinker.

The engine black, but...........I wonder how it would look if the covers were painted......white ?

It just might tie in with the tins, and the rims, nicely.....?

im sure they would look good white but Im not that ambitious to pull them all off and paint them right now. so black they will go for now, same as the finned part of the engine.

Painted the rest of the engine black last night. but was too dark for pictures. So I snapped one when I got home from work today.

I was wondering about the passenger peg mounts you put on. Where is the passenger gonna sit? Are you gonna put a P-pad on the rear cowl?

And that looks much better with the engine black.

for a passenger the rear cowl will come off (two bolts) there will be a pad on the platform underneath that.

well it was great getting to ride to work until I woke up to this...

But its almost gone now. Should be back on two wheels by Monday.

Yikes! Glad I don't have to worry about that around here now for another 8 months. BTW, love the bike. I don't know what it is, but for some reason I really like white on a bike. One of my all time favs was the White Honda VFR Interceptor they did. Can't remember the year but boy was it a great looking bike.

yep, my two favorite colors...Mainly because its too hard for me to pick a color to paint my stuff. Worries me I'd get sick of the color.

Had a swap meet to go to today but still managed a little tinker time. After my chain coming off and putting a good chip in the tail cowl and taking out my signal light lens, I saw the need to put a chain guard on sooner the better. So I touched up the cowl yesterday and left it at the shop to dry until this afternoon. Picture of the bike without cowl.

Then today I picked up the cowl on my way home from the swap meet. Put it back on and started playing with the chain guard. Had to modify it slightly to fit this swingarm. In theory it was going to be just fine but when I rode the bike the chain guard would vibrate at the back and the chain would rub.

So I ended up cutting it down quite a bit to the rear support bracket. Its not much but should be better than nothing for now. Will probably just get a guard made for this swingarm eventually. Then it will fit correctly.

Oh yeah and in between all that. I dug out some old tan header wrap and did a quick mock up to see if i liked it or go with black.

Just a pic from this evening after my buddy showed up from getting his z1000 all put back together after I gave him a hand to paint it.

Well if they don't look like to peas in a pod. Those bikes look good. I really love how yours turned out. Great Job.

+1... both very similar in style, but the GS beats the new Z any day of the week :D

Well tonight I dug out my 1100 frame to see how hard this was going to be? Doesn't look too hard. For the rear, either need to make the pivot bolt hole larger in the frame or make a sleeve for my current pivot bolt to go through. The front. I dont know for sure. Might just need a top bearing. 35 ID 47 OD. Stem might even be long enough. :)
