DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So as usual bike was old bought it for 300 bucks not expection much have gone though everything on the intake new gaskets o-rings everyting. I have cleaned and sync'd the carbs. It runs good on three cylinders then four when I get to about 2 grand or a little higher. And then when I come off of it to a stop she sits at 2 grand for a moment then goes back down to three cylinders and back to 1000 she will pop every once in a while. If I use the choke she fires on all four gets up to about 3500 but the moment it take it off it loses the cylinder again and it will pop on and off again. Its starting to get cold in wisconsin and I want to get my summer project done so i can ride in spring. Any help would be greatly apprecated.
I guess I am just wondering if this might be a idle skrew problem? If I need to try and reset them I think the spec is like 1 and a half out but dont quote me on that.

I dont know. The 'spec' on my idle screws is 3 turns but it runs and atarts a lot better at 1 1/2, so don't take those specs as set in stone.

Sounds like you are not getting fuel at low RPM. I would suspect pilot jet or idle circuit.
I would pull the carb and make sure that all the passages are clear. If I didn't find any thing obvious I would re-dip the carb.

I found out that 3 1/2 was the spec solved some problems but she doesnt hit on that one cylinder tell i hit 2 grand or so.

As jweb said, sounds like a pilot jet is pluged. Did you take them out and hold the jet up to a light to make sure the orifice was open? Also, if your tank is full of crud, it will plug the pilots pretty quickly - make sure the tank is clean.

Good luck.

I will get on that next weekend. would now but its getting pretty cold out
