I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

1982 GS850gl speedometer hub

Hey, can anyone tell me what other speedo hub will fit this bike (GS850gl)? I'm going to a digital speedometer (acewell 1550) and would like to use a conversion cable as opposed to installing magnets and sensors. it appears the stock hub will not accept any conversion cable on the market so I'd like to switch it out for another type that might fit any of the available cables. Acewell does not make it so pls don direct e there. DCC doesn't either. Its easier to switch out the hub if i can find one that fits this bike

Virtually any of the GS hubs will fit, but some are clocked for a different orientation of the output cable. I know that does not help your situation, though.

Where would this "conversion cable" connect? Apparently to a hub at the wheel, but what about the other end? I'm not sure exactly what is being converted here.

What's wrong with using magnets and sensors? To me, that would be a cleaner look than having a bulky cable hanging there all the time.

Hello Steve, so the digital conversion cable screws directly into the existing hub (or should). as u can see in the pic, this cable has a female nut with a square tip cable end. My hub is a female thread with a slotted end cable that wont match up. apparently, they don't make a conversion cable with his type of end so I was looking to replace the hub that would accept the cable end pictured below.

That female fitting with a square tip is usually the end that goes into the speedo. :-k

yes youre right but at the other end of this cable (as depicted in the pic) is an electrical plug. this connects to the digital speedo. so I was looking for a hub that would fit my bike that has this type of cable connection
