A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I was wondering if anyone has a 1977 gs 750 handy.I was told the head port size is the same as a 1985 gs 700.I was told by a fellow he put his megaphone from his 77 gs 750 on his 85 gs700.The gs 700 is pretty much the same motor as my 83 gs 750.I need to know the port size of the head and the spacing?.

Thanks.

Not the same at all. Spacing might be the same but diameter is smaller on the '83 730 and '85 700. The older 750's have the same diameter as the liter class bikes. He would have had to grind down the pipes to make it fit the 700 head.

Oh ok i didn`t think they would be the same.I am just having a problem finding a vance and hines megaphone for the 83 gs750.

How much are you looking to spend? You can get a new Hindle meant for '85-'87 GSX-R750s that will fit. It's only the header and midpipe so you have to buy a can as well. They have them on closeout for $299. They are usually $600 or more. Just about any exhaust meant for the oil cooled gixxers will work.

Thanks for the info..I have a header and can already off of a 86 gsxr.I was looking to put a vance on my bike.I like the sound and look.I have a kerker can on it now.I am looking for a deeper sound.I have tried repacking and it didn`t change.

Maybe it's just me but I've always thought the V&H systems had a little higher pitch than say a Kerker or Yosh.

Well my buddy has them on his kat's and they have a nice deep sound.Maybe that is the 1100 sound?.My buddy has a micron on his 750 and it sounds really nice and deep. They are way to much money tho.
