I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I've been running a set of superbike bars on my '80 GS1000 for a while now and absolutely effing love them. Gives you crazy amounts of leverage for such a hefty beast of rig. Only downside is that the riding position isn't very comfortable on longer cruises. Back always ends up a bit achey.

Curious if any of you run superbike bars on your GS1100's. I was thinking of trying a pair on my '83 to see if I can't get the same sort of leverage. For those who have tried it, what do you like more? Stock or super?

I have superbike bars on my 1100g and they work fine for me. I did a 3100 mile trip over two weeks last summer. I keep my back straight, slide back aways in the seat and on longer rides I put my feet on the rear pegs.

Yep. Better going fast with some wind holding you up. I tend to scoot up in the seat going slow. Arching my back a bit helps.

Oh wait.....My back hurts riding or not.

I have superbike bars on my two 1100e bikes and on my 750e...it's one of the first things I do. I find them more comfortable than stock bars because it makes you lean a bit further forwards. Doing that takes you out of the wind a bit and takes the pressure off your lower back that would be felt if riding in a more upright position. And of course the handling is night and day. Plus they look cool.:)
So yeah, buy them. Best 30 or 40 bucks you could spend on your bike imo.

I acquired a set of super bike bars off a GS750 I parted out. I have them on my FZ1 now. I transfer that set to every bike I've ridden daily. Must have near 100k on them by now lol. I LOVE them. Back is never too bad. For long trips I'll install a set of small handle bar risers and be good to go.

Glad I broke the buck horn habit. Despite looking totally dumb they were crazy comfy on my 750. Then I got the super bike bars and have never looked back.

Awesome. Thanks for the pics. I'm sold! I'll throw a pair on today and take her for a spin.

Love the color of your 1100, btw. Always been a sucker for dark blues...

Thanks for everyone's input :)

I swear the lift of the wind is a major reason I have no pain from the bars.
