DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

So charged battery again an tried to fire still nothing.. but decided to change oil an filter&when took cap off oil case an smelled it had horrible smell of gas.. smh!! Dropped all oil oit an was gonna pull filter!! could this be Part of my problem?? An their seemed to be more oil in their then shoulda been... maybe cause gas was mixing with it cus of my bad petcock?? Jus hope thjs didnt ruin my bike.. what steps should i take from here

Your crankcase is full of gas. Don't try to run it like this.

First, change the oil. Then run it for a little while (say, 5 minutes max), and then change it again with a new filter. Around here, we like Shell Rotella 15W-40. Works great in motorcycles and (assuming you're in the U.S.) can be had for cheap at almost any Walmart.

Then get a new petcock and install it. In a pinch, people have gotten away with a on/off valve inline with the petcock and carbs but I don't recommend this as a permanent solution.

Unfortunately i think guy before me ran it like that.. not sure on how long an if this has anything to do with me not being able to get started then stay runnin?? An i have already bought an replaced petcock before discovering gas in oil..

Also if i cant get running again how am i gonna let the new oil run threw for lil bit then change filter an oil?? But none the less if this dont help me then im still stuck tryin to figure out if my problem is electrical or what??

What color is your spark. Orange or blue? Orange is weak spark, blue is good spark. If are getting good spark every time then your problem is not electrical It's a fuel problem. Which will be a petcock/carb issue.

If you are getting weak spark then you aren't getting enough voltage to the coils. This is electrical.

Fuel in your oil will not make the bike not run from what I understand. It thins out the oil and is just bad to run it like that.
