A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hey all, I have an 83 gs650 shaft drive and want to run pods. I know I have to re-jet from my research here and just looked at the dynojet site and they only list 81-82 gs 650's. Whats different about the 83 carbs? thanks

Ah, Thanks. Sorry I shouldve looked in the stickys first. So it looks like they are the same carbs anyway so the jets from the 81-82's should work anyway. Unless Im reading that wrong. Thanks again

nope you have the same carbs. the 32's as to I on both of my GS's

hey guys i got my stage 3 kit for my 82 gs850 and i just now noticed it says 8 valve not 16 and DK shoes it will work. is this true or should i start building a house with these bricks im sitting on?

I got my kit but no real instructions with it,only a fact sheet. Anyone done this on these carbs that can steer me in the right direction? Or just follow a pdf from their site from another carb or? Thanks

Go to Dynojet's website and pull up the list of jet kits for Suzukis. Then go to the GS700 or 550. There is a PDF with instructions for those carbs. All of the instructions for the Mikuni CV carbs are pretty much the same. The only differences are going to be the jet sizes and maybe where to clip the snap ring on the jet needle. Use the Stage I instructions for an airbox and either stock exhaust or header, Stage III for a header and pods.

No problemo dude. It's a littlebit freaky drilling into perfectly good slides but the improvements are worth it.

no one tells you this before it's too late but don't use a drill press. those holes are angled. be careful. it is a nightmare trying to find new slides.

yeah i figured the angle part out as i was drilling and they went real quick i was all like  but everything is fine now the dang snaprings were a pain

A trick with the snap rings is get a cheap pair of needle nose pliers and take a dremel and notchs the tips just a little bit to let the snap ring holes lock into the pliers a little bit. That keeps the pliers from sliding off.

i used my fishing hemostats and on the last one i had to use a set of pointed nippers cause i lost all the ridges on my hemo's

The "Trick" is to get the CORRECT snap ring pliers! By the way, it's NOT a trick! It's called getting the right tool for the job! Ray.

yeah but iv had them fly off with the proper tool as well some of us dont have the funds to buy something we may never use again let alone every 5 years or so
