If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Jeeeez woodsy, she sure has clened up nicely, that black is nice, can't wait to see it polished up.
I agree with Pete, go with the polished covers to just set it off.

Thanks flyboy yeah i'm leaning more and more towards the polished side covers too, otherwise its just too black, still trying to decide what lines to do down the middle of the tank i was thinking a 2cm solid white line with a thin red pinstripe down the centre could look nice.

Still waiting to hear from boulevard suzuki in regards to my parts, might end up getting them elsewhere if i dont hear from them by the start of next week.

Yeah Paul came over, i forget his user name on here, we were going to try and make his exhaust system 2-1 but his pipes are different to mine so will have to go 2-2 instead.

Wooohooo I got a mention in this lengthy lengthy thread =) One day I'll read this thread from start to finish...

Been investigating my situation a little further...definitely 2-2 and I'm gonna try weld em myself (if you can make it to Sydney at all though Josh that would be awesome coz I'm a welding noob). The plan is to weld some extensions on the end of the headers, then I'm gonna chop off the angle/bend leading to the muffler from the original pipes (coz they aren't rusted) and weld it onto the extension. If it looks really really horrible I can always cover up the welds with the brand new exhaust cover/heat shields I got for the stock exhaust. Just trying to decide on the mufflers...

Reverse Cone Short (17") - 2 for $170

I love the reverse cones (short or long) but there is a pretty significant price difference between all 3 types...what do you guys think??

I reckon the tapered looks pretty sweet but the downside is that they are only 15 inches...upside being $120 for 2.

i would go for the bottom one. Managed to pull my headers out of the collector today, they are pretty stuffed but from the collector back is still okay. I would like to put a new system on it but cant justify the cost.

Did some work today on the bike put the front end together, painted the exhaust and muffler ( looks great! ) and pulled the rear wheel off for painting but weather put an end to finishing that.

Just need to decide what i'm going to use to paint the frame!

Just need to paint a couple of bolt heads.

Rear wheel is now painted, should be back together on the weekend! Just have to decide what to use to paint the swingarm and frame as i dont think acrylic lacquer will be a tough enough finish.

My choice in frame paint is well know here.I like this stuff:

Took my 750 frame from this:

to this.
So when I got the 1000

I used it again,in black:DOne thing though, you have to let it cure for 2 weeks to get the the best results.Mine where and are winter projects so they where well cured.

That's definitely good stuff Greg, you did a good job on both those frames.

I went POR 15 Blackcote which can be brushed on and is self levelling...

okay well i may of gone abit over board.......... the bike is now a bare frame apart from the front end... oops!

LOL...massive change since i saw it last! Goood stuff though. The frame doesn't look to bad though man but I guess u gotta be there up close

yeah i thought if i'm gonna do it, i'm gonna do the whole lot. Tomorrow is a day of painting if the weather holds out, then i can put it back together.

You're keen as mustard Josh, good to see!!

Hopefully tomorrow's good weather for you, looking forward to seeing her all done :)

kinda feels like a full resto now...... hopefully mine doesnt take as long as yours! HAHA.

The weather today is worse than yesterday, torrential rain we have had our wettest december day for 22 years here and under the carport is soaked and way to much moisture in the air to spray the frame so i'm gonna be abit bored today might have to do some................ christmas shopping.......

Oh and i've decided to go for 2 white lines down the middle of the bike about 2cm thick

Mate don't worry, you're only a couple of months in... you got years to go yet! Hahahahahahaa

Sucks on the weather, and the Chrissy shopping... I was just wrapping presents tonight and gave up half way through, sweating like a pig and the ceiling fan's blowing the paper everywhere... sheeesh!

2 white lines down the middle? Sounds familiar :p

You thinking a small gap between or a larger gap? Should look nice...

Frame is now painted! Got a break in the weather yesterday afternoon and laid some colour on it, got the dentist this morning so hopefully that doesnt knock me around to much and i can start putting it back together, still have to clean the engine up and paint it though.

Thinking a small gap between the 2 lines would look good. Cant wait for it to be back together!

What do you think?.... still have afew things to do like polish the tank, paint stripes etc

Looking good Josh! Definitely will be better with the stripes I think, break up all that black a little...

yeah i also shortened the muffler about 2 inches too which has changed the note abit of the exhaust, going to take it for a ride today so make sure it all works after i put it back together.. no left over parts which is a good thing..... lol
