A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

When I made up my fork brace for the GS1000 forks I used these wipers from a 1983GS550ES. These are for 37mm forks.
My question is I want to find this style wiper for the 35mm forks, any of you gents know which bikes use the internal mounting wipers in this size?

I have a set that I ordered through Ebay. I'm not going to use them as I want the type that goes over the fork and have a pair of them on order through Bike Bandit. Send me a PM and we can work something out cheap.

My 1983 GS750ES has the 37mm forks.

At this time I am trying to find some for the 35mm forks though.

Apparently I don't read so good.

Check Ebay, it appears some of the folks there deal with the internal wipers. Probably because they are cheaper.

I just need to find what bikes they came on first. I am only familiar with the external style on the smaller forks.

I have a set of 35 mm fork cap/wipers. I think Im understanding the part you need correctly. I used a set of gaiters instead of the fork cap/wiper. As long as we're talking about the same part

I can do you these for $10 plus the shipping.

Those are the original style as used on the early GS, I want to replace them with the later style that inserted inside the lower tube that has been in use on the 37mm and larger forks from 83 to now.

I originally had a fork brace that clamped over those boots. Those braces are all but useless. I now use a brace that clamps to the tube and this tightens the front end right up. I now am going to make a similar brace for the 35mm fork.

Ahh yes, those will be perfect, same seal as the GS too.
Many thanks:)
My little T20 Hustler with shortened GS forks will be more happy now.
