A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Does anyone know if any other pipe other than the V&H fits the 1150? Maybe something from a GSXR? Is anyone other than V&H making a pipe that will fit?

Thanks, Jim for the heads-up on that pipe. But it has a dent in the bottom of it. If I get one, as anal as I am, it would need to be in excellent or new condition. I would probably have it ceramic coated to closely match the color of the stock pipes. I'm considering doing pods, pipe and jet kit on my all stock 1150 and was trying to find out if there is anything available out there. And I'm not sure, but I think the 1150 port spacing is different from the 1100...but I could be wrong.

I have a buddy that says he can make me a pipe out of stainless. I might go that route, but it will be expensive even at a reduced price. He does amazing stainless work.

GS1150 Pipe on GS1100ED

Bruce,
Here is a period GS1150 Yoshi pipe mounted to my 83 GS1100ED; no modifications. A little tight underneith (pushes against the oil pan) and I will have to:
remove the can
cut about 4 inches from the end
cut of and reweld the mounting tab
replace the can(re rivit in place)

Other than those modifications it looks like a better fit than GS1100E race header.

Hey Bruce, the port spacing is the same on the 1100 as the 1150 AND all the AIR cooled GSXRs. Ray.

THERE'S the answer to all my questions. Thanks, Ray! I probably should have just called you, but perhaps this is useful to someone else, too.

Any recommendations? I'd like to maybe get a little more out of her, but want it to be reversable....just pods, pipe, jet kit, and maybe some mild cams and a Dyna 2000.
