A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Yes, do keep us up to date... it's not something I would ever think of doing on a hard tail but that's my personal choice... I'm definitely keen to see how the little 450 holds up to that amount of abuse :)

Love my 450 and it hasn't failed me yet but I haven't done that sort of distance either...

+1 to more pic's!

Update #2

Update #2

I am working on getting more pictures but unfortunately don't have any new ones to post right now. But I will get you all more. As of just a few minutes ago, K has made it to Chillicothe, Ohio. About 100 miles east of Cincinnati on US-50 East. He has less than 1000 miles till his final destination.

Pete, as far as the bike is concerned it is running like a champ. The only minor issue he has had so far (knock on wood) is with the clutch cable, which he was able to fix and keep on going. He has been able to average around 60 mph overall, just nice and steady.

I will update you guys again soon and I promise to have some more pictures!

Well we made it. little longer then expexted but here. Let me say that they did a good job on that little motor I had her pretty much pinned the hole way. 3600 kiles in 90 hours gues jow we see if she makes it home next week. We well be alot nicer to her on the way back.... Thank you all for the info I would say it diffantly helped

Glad to hear it! How was the hardtail experience? Keen to see some pic's of your travels...

It was good. Having a kindny belt is pretty key and I am prety used to rideing a hard tail anyways. Not going to lie it probably one of the most brutal thing I have put my body and kind through. But acually kapt running into the same crop of dudes so we just jammed out and it turned in to more of just a ride then a rafe for me. I can handle beeing 6th for the fact all I wanted to do is make it. Tell you what if you are west vergina ride hwy 50 through the apelation mts. It is a kick in the pants. One of the funnest twisty roads I have ever ran.

Cool, and a kidney belt sounds like a great idea! Never ridden a hard tail myself, not something that's ever appealed to me personally... but yeah the belt sounds like it would help a heap!

Glad you made it ok and hopefully you get back just as good.

These 450's are great little machines!

I finally made it home to washington state tuesday at 7am. Put nearly 8600 miles in 16 days on that little 450 and it is still kicking a$$. Now plan on having my old lady take it apart; get the frame powder coated, repaint tins, go through the top end then have her put it back together then it will be hers to rip. To all if ever in north carolina a must see is the wheels through time museum in maggie vally, that place will blow your mind. I will post some pics in the next few days. If any one would like I could post in the trips area with some of the stories of our adventure. Contains evrything you could imagine. From the race to naked girls, arrests, speedos, wall of death, tornados and some of the coolest scooters and funniest dudes I have ever met... Thank you to every ones help pointing me in the right direction to keep that little suzuk alive and strong.
