    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

:DOrions motorsports in Tallahassee diaganosed repaired and rejetted my carbs and got my new/old baby back on the road in a timely manner. If your down this way and need an old scoot worked on they are your guys.:D
 
I tried that and could not get it feed fuel properly. I rebuilt the entire fuel system from the petcock to the intake valves and could not get it to run right.
 
It's good to have it going again isn't it? Sometimes it's worth it to get it back on the road. Glad the shop in Tally got it done!

Take a ride by Bradly's Country Store and eat a sausage dog for me.
 
Sometimes it is just worth it to get rid of a headache.
A competent thorough mechanic in a reputable shop is worth the moeny of they get you back in premium shape.

Vacuum leak and it needed the rejet since I was running pods, they also threw a new battery on it. I had them put the new plugs and wires on as well. I thought 460 was a bargain instead of me having to continue chasing problems.
 
I'm real glad you got it running well for that price. You are the exception to the rule. I paid more than that and ended up having to rebuild my carbs again myself anyway. The only difference is that I can do it myself now for a fraction of that cost. At the time I had the money, now I don't, but I can still afford to rebuild them anytime I need to.:D
 
The guys at Orion have been doing business for the better part of a decade. They have gone from a dinky shack outside of town to two dealerships in town. They did through customer service and fair pricing. They mounted my mail ordered tires for 20 bucks and did it in less than hour. Since then I buy my parts through them and have them do anything I can't figure out and never felt ripped off or been disapointed.
 
Having just done a lot of this work myself (enjoyed it and looking for a nother project), I do see the value to some to have a reliable, honest and reasonably priced shop that will do this type of work.

$460 to:
1) Rebuild carbs
2) Rejet carbs
3) Supply and install battery
4) Supply and install wires and plugs
5) Vaccuum lines
and do it right....sounds like a very reasonable deal.

Now you can be out riding on Saturday instead of working on the bike! Sometimes it's just worth the money (if you can find a decent mechanic) to be up and running. Think of it as therapy for your motorcycle soul. You don't have to spend endless nights thinking "what the hell is wrong with it?" and "why won't thing ____ing run!" Just turn the key and ride on my friend...
