If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Thought this might be a bit of fun.Been thinking about doing my 1000 in a scheme other than the black with white. Here are the stock schemes I have been thinking of,more or less in the order of what I like:

The Euro skunk, red with white.Leave out the stripe in the white please.

US skunk,These two are really close IMO.Right now that is;)

I would source the decals first to see just what ones you can find per scheme..that may influence the choices a bit.

After looking at the Euro and Aussy paint schemes, I decided to come up with this look on my '79 basket case:

Little did I know that Honda had made a bike with VERY similar color scheme.
A GSer from down under posted this pic from a recent bike show down there.

Yes, that would be nice. I need to see if their chain guard, battery and warning info decals would be the same as what is on my 1000. I might have to email them pictures of what I need and see if they are the same as what they have.

Reverse the colors. White base with black thick stripes and OEM pin stripes.
Classic!
OR, matte black with OEM everything else.

I'm thinking about a soft light yellow, with no brown in it, with the stock white stripes and gold pins on my second skunk. Something without much contrast between the white and the yellow. Not that much at all. This one will have rearsets, pods, and a pipe.

Red and white looks awesome though.

Done the yellow

Just an FYI plan to paint the stripe and do vinyl stripes as I suck at striping by hand.Leaves the choice of colours open but I really want a stock colour scheme on this bike.

I can understand the desire for a stock scheme... If yellow is out than I vote Red w/ white stripe

Tim Tom I might have been more interested in that scheme if I'd done something else the last time.Sounds cool.

yellow and black sounds interesting...call the bike "The Stinger".

Actually, I think less yellow, more black would have a nice stinger look, black frame and tank/covers/tail with yellow accent stripes, add some yellow striping on black wheels as well, black fender/yellow stripping, solid black headlight, eliminate most all chrome, black should be high gloss.

+1 on the yellow accent.
The goldish yellow of the Stinger was cool.
