A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Pit Replicas sent me an eamil with pics of the flat C model cover..so now the E and C model seat covers are readily available to the world at large.. I forwarded the email to Joe Whelan, so hopefully he can repost the pics here..

That's just great I say!

But.............. I didn't read your thread title completely, and what I was hoping to see was your Skunk with the new seat cover on it. Guess I'll just have to wait.

Lets see some pics of the bike with the new cover, fool!

Steve...I too am looking forward to seeing it on there...soon as it arrives. They sent it registered mail and as of yet i havent gotten any notices from the post office saying i have any registered mail to go pick up..it will be soon though. You want to try uploading the pics from the email?? I click on copy and save and they dont make it to any of my docs folders...whatever.

I saw it..and they actually used the picture of your seat as the template and took the pattern and measurements from the E seat that i sent in. So your original C seat picture was involved in the production process as well.

Here's the pic's I downloaded from Chuck's E-mail. I have six pic's here's the first three.

Chuck, are you using photobucket ? If you are, put your mouse over the picture, and RIGHT click it. One of the options should be " Upload to Photobucket ". Scroll down, and left click it. Voila, you're done.

Pit Replica has already posted them as the 78-80 flat and step seat styles...so there ya go..they are both now into regular production..

Your link is for the C model which is the one i got the pics of today. My link is for the E model that was my seat cover..

OK, I stand corrected! (I'm tired of typing that more and more it seems, :o ) The E-model is $10 cheaper.

Wonder why that is?? Just about the same seat really. In any case, i think these are the best ive ever seen in many many searches for any 78 GS 1000 covers.
