A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I vote "best headlight mount ever"
x2 on the mount, I've seen some pretty trick set ups but thats awesome, and I'm not just saying that because I want you to hardtail my frame for next to nothing. Seriously, by far the nicest GS build goin right now.

Thanks for the compliments. I would be interested in doing your frame for you. Let me know and maybe we could work something out.

Have you fired the light yet? Curious about the pattern of the beam since it's mounted side ways. Looks cool don't get me wrong , just curious.

No I have not got that far yet. I am currently trying to find the easiest way to turn the light mounts back horizontal again. That way the light would still have angle adjustment to it.

I hate choppers and bobbers, but I gotta tell you, seeing what you're doing here,I'm coming around. You've got skills there that I can only dream about.Cheers,Simon.:clap::clap:

What if you make the back hole a slot instead, allowing angle adjustment?

And the seed is planted......

Yes it is. On another note I put the headlight back together to try and work out my problems with the light. Turns out I do not have an issue with adjustment, it works fine and in the right direction. There is a tab on the light and the housing plus 3 clips. With the clips installed I was able to move the light to face it's natural position and bypass the tabs totally. The clips are strong enough that the light doesn't move at all. Problems solved, oh wait the bulb is no good. Glad I only gave $10 for the light. Anybody got a light?

Put the battery box in it's new home. Some finish welding and a brace on the underside and she is all done.

Tractor Supply chain tensioner for a 4-wheeler. Spring is from Lowe's. Mounted it to the backside of the foot peg.

Here is my $20 4 into 2 exhaust. The head pipes are pitted and not in the best condition but I couldn't just get rid of it. I cut and merged the two head pipes. Then I flattened the 2" tube for a better fit on the collector. Some welding left and a bracket to support the pipe. I plan on paint or powdercoat and exhaust wrap on those ugly head pipes. I have not figured out how I am going to finish off the tips.

This is a totally sweet project, props for the fabrication skills!

The only question I have is how do you actually aim your headlight so it's functional for night-time visibility of the road ahead of you, without blinding oncoming traffic, or the beam being too low and not being able to see far enough ahead?

The headlight still has it's adjustability and should handle those tasks. I will know for sure when I get it going.

Here is what I did with the exhaust. I liked the megaphone and the slash cut. I see many slash cut exhausts on jap choppers and wanted something original. Oh yea no mufflers or baffles!

Loving your work, some original designs and ideas all coming together extremely well, can't wait for more pics, following this one with interest. Keep it up Dude.

can we say LOUD!!! LOL. Would hate to ride behind that thing with those pipes. Looking very good so far

I like the way you took the pipes. Turned out baby megas. Cool. This will be one nice ass ride when its done. Got a quick question. Have you done your wiring yet? And if so how much of a pain was it? Ive never had to wire a bike from scratch and have mixed feelings about getting knee deep.

It's really not that bad especially when you get rid of alot of factory stuff. Just take one circuit at a time.
