A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Did'nt catch the earlier posts. The tail you made is incredible. Good ideas. By far one of the best projects I've seen.

Here is almost everything that was modified to the bike. I might be missing a few things, but this should cover most of it.

What a great pic parked next to the 'Stang.

Shame about the the goose in the front of the pic though!

wow great bike man! i love when people use parts from other bikes! gives me a few ideas for my gs400...

ive got a ninja frontend, wonder if itll fit the neck...

so what is original exactly, just the frame and engine!!!!

haha that is one badass bike man.. ride the hell out of it for me!

Drooooool. Sick looking cafe 'fighter you've got going on there. How's it ride?

I just took the same front end he is running off of my bike if anyone is interested. I'm using an inverted front end now. There are rotors too but one of them is warped. The top triple has handlebar mounts to run a tubular bar like a Daytona or superbike bend. Too short for 750's but would work great on a 550 or smaller.

You really whipped yourself up a pretty sweet ride there. Enjoy.

WOW!! 80gs1000e told me about this thread yesterday. Definitely gives me some good ideas of what to do with the Yamaha XS400 I have in pieces in my basement.

You've done a superb job.=D>

also, 78gscafe, once I get my 400 done in the classic cafe style, we might totally have to go riding. I live in SE MN. Just gotta get that katana 600 rear wheel and GS1150 swingarm installed...

89 ninja 600.... did it fit???

yeah, the only thing I had to do was take out the... uhhhh... center part that the bearings ride on and have the lower race machined a little smaller

If you're available the first weekend of October, a group of us are planning on riding up from Galena, IL to Fennimore, WI and spending a day riding around the river. Be nice to meet up with you. Check the meeting place forum for details.

dang, I'm gonna be way off in south dakota by then for school... maybe next year...

Well the bike wasn't running very well so I upgraded to a dyna s system with three ohm coils. It was very easy to install but suzuki used two different ignition suppliers at the time and dyna sent me the wrong one. So I had to wait almost three weeks calling and emailing them every other day to get the correct one. But now it starts up on the first go and runs all day long. See you at Rockerbox this weekend.
