78 gs550 carbs ? same as 78 gs 1000 ?

searching around on kijiji and came across this add , wondering if carbs from a 78 gs550 are the same as whats on a 78 gs 1000 , buddy only wants $50 for them . he has 2 tanks too for $50 each and a hole engine from a 550 for again $50 ...

None of those parts interchange with those from a 1000.

the 4 into 1 pipes i was thinking for a gs 650 , so those carbs are smaller then the ones on the gs1000 ? they look the same , i guess just smaller ?

im missing my circular crome valve cover caps on my 650 too . would they not fit ?

Nothing fits, the 550 is much smaller, the 650 is an odd ball.

Wht exactly are you trying to accomplish?

I have a ton of 550, 1000, 750 and even some 650 and 850 parts to sell.

because the carbs looked the same i was just hoping for the price of $50 to have some spare pieces , for the carbs on my 1000 ...

as for the 2 tanks for $50 well who doesnt like to have some extra tanks kicking around in the garbage !! lol

then i saw the 4 into 1 pipes and was like hey would they fit my 650 ..

just talked to the guy and he would take $100 bucks for both tanks wiring harness and engine ... but now that i know none of it is usefull to me ill pass !!! lmao
