If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Hi Guys,

Like the title states, I am looking for the length of the stock swing arm from the pivot point on the main frame to the rear of the axle adjusters for a chain driven 79 GS 1000. Not sure if there is a difference between models or not. I cut mine up to help fab a hardtail frame without getting that measurement first. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

bump, would appreciate anyone measuring their stock swing arm...

I measure 22.5 inches from the center of the pivot to the bitter end.

By the way, if anyone needs a stock 1978 GS1000 swingarm, I've got two in good shape I'd be happy to part with for the cost of shipping.

If you making a hard tail surely the length of the swing arm won't make that much of diference?

A longer swingarm will help with the stability.

Suzuki mad.

Thanks jskellington for the 22.5" measurement.

Suzuki mad gonna use that measurement to figure out the original rake and trail and probably strech the rear section by 3 to 4 ".

Thanks for everyones help!
