Woke up to a whole new set of issues. After getting gas in the bike and letting it run for a few minutes (was going to adjust the air screws) I noticed a bit of oil coming from the right pipe.
I'm hoping that a new gasket kit will solve the oil in the exhaust issues, along with adjusting the shims if needed.
On a side note, I did put a few ounces of seafoam into the gas tank, could this be what is coming out through the exhaust? The liquid doesn't really have the viscosity of oil.
I checked the plugs to see if any of them were oil covered. None seemed to be, can anyone give me some information?
Plugs are in order
(1,2,3,4)
(1,2,3,4)
Update Took the bike out and rode it around the block for 15min, so I could check the plugs again.
They are set (4,3,2,1)
The "oil" in the exhaust stopped (assuming it was just the seafoam and carbon build up.
When riding though, the bike pops a lot at high RPM's (like when I crack into the throttle). I know it still needs the carbs tuned, but outside of that any ideas?
Video of Bike Running (horrible quality sorry)
Update #2
Just got my valve shim tool in the mail and my feeler gauges. I'll be checking that Friday.
Update #3
4 new NGK Spark Plug Resistor Covers just showed up as well.
Still awaiting the arrival of the Intake Boots (which from what I've read could be the #1 cause of all of my problems)
Thanks in Advance,
Brandon
