A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

2011-07-21_15-52-04_359.jpg

lemme know what yall think :D

I want everyones opinions that's why I posted it on here this is an open thread tell me what y'all think but I just want y'all to remember I built this for me idgaf about how it looks this is my bike and I built it for me to be a fun horse to ride I want you guys to look at it with an open mind and to tell me your opinion

Why did you waste any time on it?
Wouldn't it have saved time/effort to just throw it in a dumpster?
Same outcome. :(

Daniel

Although I don't understand how you can say you don't give a crap what we say but still want our opinions? Normally, that means you are interested in hearing what we think in order to maybe adjust your approach. But I'm not one to lie so here goes.

Honestly Cody, that's going to be one helluva hard ride that I wouldn't want to do any kind of miles on. You don't have your location in your profile so I have no clue where you live but to me, that shifter looks like you will find yourself in a wreck faster than you can blink an eye; especially if you miss a shift or wrench on it just the wrong way. Although the tank had a crappy color and needed repainting, it had a decent size to it so unless you put roughly the same back on your gas mileage will suck like crazy. I assume this bike is for running the mile or two to a bar and back home?

Either way, good luck with the build. Hope it works for you.

I'm not sure about the gas tank, it seems like the gas might fall out those square holes.

But if you cut a little more metal away and you will have a nice engine stand.

Perhaps you should have practiced your "craft" on that silly Harley first.

what only 2 people have an opinion about this?
No, I have an opinion, too, but am civil enough to keep it to myself, in spite of being invited to do otherwise. :p

I was just thinking of the awkwardness of reaching under your butt at every stop to handle the clutch and shifting chores.
Too many times (virtually ALL the time), stopping is something that I prefer to do with BOTH hands on the bars.

Stopping on an uphill and trying to take off would be worth the price of the ticket to watch the show, though. :D

.

I thank you for keeping at least some mufflers on it.:)

yea man im not a total jackass those are cherrybombs btw though ;) it actually sounds really good, try it sometime

thanks man but my struts are welded on,i love the feel of a hardtail when im riding cuz you can actually get a feel for the road and peoples faces are priceless when you tell/show them how you came in,aginst the thought of just about everyone on here i really wanna build an actual hardtail for it and ditch the struts

can anyone tell me the speedo ratio for my stock speedo ex. 60mph@xxxxprm?

Well ... that's just very cool. I have to say I hope to see the end result. In my other life I am a reverse-glass paintings artist (I make paintings on glass.. backwards) and I love the results of creativity. This will stand out. Kudos. Clutch on the side? ...Well, I would not do it, but I've gotten a bit more reserved with age. The good news is that if you decide you don't like it you have the skills to change it... way beyond my capabilities. Have fun with it.

best wishes!

thanks bro but i think the day its done will be the day i sell if im always tryin to change it up ya feel me if it was done i would have nothing to do ha

you should paint a giant eyeball in that tank. that would be sweeet
