All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Coming along nicely. It got it running and running well - this thing is much quicker than I expected! I like it!!! Did all the safety checks and began taking down, changing over what I wanted. And the fun began. Everything has been going relatively smooth. Moved the rear tail forward with a few mods, 91 FZR600 Rear wheel/ Front-end. Bolted right in - who would have thought? Serious upgrade to front end and got the look I'm going for. Conflicted about fairing right now - that can wait. Need to disassemble and paint frame/ swingarm. Wish I could upload more pcitures.

The trick to "more pictures" is ... don't upload them. At least not as attachments on this site.

You need a picture hosting site, like Photo Bucket or Image Shack, upload your pictures there, then just copy the IMG link and paste that in your message. You can put up to 10 pictures per post that way.

For the complete how-to, click HERE.

Looks like this worked. Not sure if it is what you suggested, but I could not get them to attach for the life of me about an hour ago. Thanks!!

Hit enter a couple of times between each picture to put some decent spacing in there. Otherwise, good looking pictures so far.

Bike is making nice progress, still need to hit the ENTER key twice between picture links, though. :o

Sorry about that, I'm an idiot. I read how to post about 10 times too. Now I have the fever, I want to work on this thing 24/7. I swore I would take my time, snow is still on the ground. Added wheels overnight.

Next time I take pictures it will be painted. Want to ride for a little bit as is, double check - then paint last.

Looking good.

Have you given thought to modifying the tank and going with something a little lower profile?

Those pipes should sell quickly if they are in as good of shape as they look, and you decide to go to a 4:1.

Snow on the Vineyard ?- I feel better about my pile; bike trapped in basement wondering when spring will arrive!

I did. The tank does look huge, but by the time I am done painting it the way I want, it will all blend in well.

The pipe wasn't nearly as nice as I thought it would be underneath. No rust through, but some surface corrosion. I've given up on the 4-1. Bike runs great now, don't want to get too far into that whole other end of a project. Paint it, ride it and see where we go from there.
