A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I figure this would be the best place to ask rather than making 5 different threads

Here are the mods I want to get done soon:
1. Choke relocation to the upper triple using a plunger type choke (like this one)
-Basically just mill a hole into the triple and slip it in, right?
2. Since I now work at a shop with a full machining capability, is it possible to get some spoked rims on my shaft bike? (I can custom make a hub if need be, or try to find a similar rim if i can)
-Is this even possible/effective?
-Downside of having spokes?
-What would this entail? basically just taking the parts from the inner hub, and replicating it into a spoked hub?
3. I will indefinitely be replacing the LH control switch (maybe this) since I don't like the look of the choke on there.
-Cheaper alternative? (I would like it to be metal since the RH control is, ya know continuity and all )
4. The shop has the ability to powdercoat the exhaust with high temp powder, is this really worth it?
5. I will be eventually rebuilding the forks, but have been playing with the idea of changing the front forks? (Possibly with a CBR front end. There is a full setup sitting in the shop parts room calling my name :twistedevil:)
-What are the headaches of this swap? I.E. possible things I would need to machine, rework, or replace?
6. Rearsets. I want to simply bolt some on, but that isn't really an option without spending a big chunk of money.
-I would LOVE to see some people's brackets they made for rearsets.
-Can I just drill into the bracket where the original passenger pegs were? possibly the frame.

Thanks in advance guys, I haven't been on for a while so I have quite a bit of time to ponder these things! :p

As for rearsets; I just used an existing hole in the bracket. Seems very close to where the pegs are on a 650 Katana.
