I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

82 GPz for $1700, decent price?

Here's my Gypsy:

Notice the difference in handlebar height/angle from George's bike.

Kan't really see much in the pic of George's bike, but online it looks like about a 40mm difference.
I like the silver mo-betta, but silver, black or red all excellent.
Trippivot's was silver too.
Just about 6-7 years ago I missed an excellent 83 or 84 550 and 750 near me. Prices have only gone up since.

I would think that if it had been wrecked (or just dropped) enough to lose the fairing, that the turn signals would have been damaged as well, and not replaced. I don't know though. Down here, if it has them, they have to work. If it doesn't have them, it will pass inspection without them.

I got mine as you see it in that picture for $1,300. It was a case of a fellow down the street who couldn't ever get the jetting right, never rode it as a result, and was moving and needed to get rid of it. He listed it on Craigslist for a couple weeks for $2,000, then the weekend he was moving, in an act of desperation, asked me for my best offer.

I put a Stage III kit in it, adjusted the valves and sync'ed the carbs, and she ran beautifully. She's getting stainless brake lines, a sport luggage rack, and a Corbin seat this winter in preparation for the 2016 Brown County rally.

For me, size matters. Looking at your stable, I think you agree. How 'bout we compromise? The KZ1000 TC!

Agreed! But if any of the Japanese bike makers would put a turbo or supercharger on a "smaller" displacement bike again, I'd line up for it! Think H2R! Had I just not spend 18K on a VMAX last year, I may have looked seriously into one of these!!!!

Wow! The guy I mentioned before about having the museum quality GPz750Turbo, also had a white CBX in museum quality too.
He called me to fix the display lights over his 1962 BMW and 1953 Indian.
Long winded guy who did everything and made a lot of money, also said he and some friends were the first to ride across Bhutan.
He was 78 so I just listened to what he said, without questions.

Beautiful GPZ. I'm not a fan of the colour Red but that bike looks sexy!

Looks like it's been well maintained and a decent price.
The f-ugly seat is way too sick, but the foam can probably be shaped and a new cover.

That whole seat is toast. And what the frig is the license plate doing up there? Is the frame supposed to be red? (The red side stand tells me no.) And I don't like the placement of the oil cooler lines. Too much customizing - can't trust it. Still, a GPz 11 for only $2100...

Wouldn't be hard to make that GPZ1100 right again, if the engine is solid.

I realize that a lot of guys like the bigger bikes, but to me the '81 GPz550 is the best looking.

Cycle World called that the first production bike that was track-ready box-stock. One of those pulled away from me on my Z1 at 110 mph on a curvy portion of an upstate highway. Fortunately there were no witnesses.

Here's a nice GPZ550, local to me. I'd get it, but my wife would kill me.

Nice GPZ- New tires, oil change, did rebuild carbs last fall- one is leaking now. Good bike, been setting in garage- does have small dent front left tank, other than that is nice bike. Clear Indiana title. 317823one065. Will not reply to scams.
