A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I'm in the process of cleaning my electrical connention and I would like to switch to a blade type fuse box. I also intend to run a line from the battery, with a 30amp blade and Bosch relay, to the coils. This appears to be a very common upgrade. Any thoughts? Also, there are several upgrade boxes out there. Easternbeaver has a PC-8, however that is a little more than I want to spend (mybe I'm to cheap). Wiringproducts.com has a AF-RGFB6; a 6 position ganged fuse block has an integrated 8 gauge power wire with a 3/8" ring terminal that feeds 6 seperate fuses ($23.16). This looks like to would work replace my glass fuse box (82 GS650GL). http://www.wiringproducts.com/contents/en-us/d136.html

I'm sure someone has done this. I'm don't want to reinvent the wheel. Thanks in advance

First thing I did to mine. I HATE glass fuses with a passion. I went to Advance and bought the ATC fuse box and bolted it to the battery box. Just look into the back of the old fuse holder to see which wire is the supply.

If you are going to get one that is not sealed, be sure and hide it where the sun don't shine and the rain can't reach. Under the seat would be a good location.

That WP one looks nice and not too expensive.

If you have any cycle graveyards nearby, a fusebox from a later model Suzuki might make a nice upgrade, and is probably already mostly labeled correctly.

But it wouldn't save all that much money, if any.
