A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Hey all, does anyone have any pictures of the fuel lines going out of the carb to the petcock? And, can I block off the vacuum port on the carb too? I took everything apart but forgot where the fuel lines go and I don't have a stock airbox anymore, I have 2 pods on the carbs...just need a little pictorial help.
Thanks!

There is a T between the carbs that should be connected to the larger nipple on the petcock.
There is a smaller nipple on the engine side of #2 carb that should be connected to the smaller nipple on the petcock.

Why do you want to "block off the vacuum port on the carb"? That is the port that turns on the gas.

You have pods on there now. Have you re-jetted the carbs?

.

I'm such a newb at this...I did jet the carbs.
I was only capping off the vacuum because thats what I thought had to be done since I got rid of the air box.

Are you talking about the smaller hose that goes to the petcock or the larger one from the airbox to the breather cover? The smaller one should not be plugged while that one from the breather cover should go to some sort of filter

Ah, ok...I have a filter for the breather. As for the fuel lines, I'm running a CB350 gas tank and the petcock has 2 fuel lines coming out of it. I wish I had a GS guy in jersey, so I can pick their brain about this bike!
Thanks for the help so far though, I appreciate it!

There are some folks out there in your area, Allie is one just off the top of my head.

I just went to the members list and did an advanced search. Typing in New Jersey in the location block gave me about 8 folks with Allie and dorkburger being two. Doing the same search with NJ in the location field brought up a few more with 1_v8_Merc being one of them.
