    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

8mm banjo? Where?

In an effort to replace those leaky top end oil lines I took them to a hydraulic shop, but they are unable to source 8mm banjos:confused:
I checked out AN plumbing, and didn't see 8mm there either.
Does anybody know where to get 8mm banjos?

:mad:And no wise cracks about instrument stores for mice either...
 
Why not use the factory parts?

It's not the bolt I need, it is the fitting on the end of the hose. Those are the problem. Suzuki doesn't sell the oil lines anymore.
 
hmmmm according to my contact the lines are still available.
the correct part numbers are:

11281-31305 right side
11282-31305 left side

bike bandit numbers are:

476546-001
476553-001
 
you will never find the right parts if you use the wrong terminology.

My oil lines are #3 AN and 1/4 pipe thread. (10mm)

8mm banjo is slang and probably not recognized by an American Hydraulic shop..

5/16 is 8mm and if you tell them your whole motorcycle story wasting their time and patients -- all help stops for JAP CRAP and the weird owners.

educate yourself on industrial fluid transfer Farm and fleet is a store around here that has everything you will ever need to move pressurized oils..

Hey Focus, remember, Great White North, we can't get anything from Suzuki for a reasonable price in anything less than 10 days. $60 bucks a peice for the stock lines and can't have them until the middle of April.:eek:

Holy Grumpiness Trippivot, I went to two of the two hydraulic suppliers in my area, it is not an agricultural centre (if I was in Saskatchewan I could score these lines the same day) and the old guy who makes the lines told me he could not source the 8mm banjo from the top of the line, he could get the 10mm banjos at the bottom of the lines no problem. We do understand metric up here in Canuckada:p
 
Oh, yeah Focus, I found that page before, but the top Banjo has a 15deg offset so it will clear the carb linkage, a straight one would put the hose up against the choke linkage. If I could use a straight one there I would be set.
;) Positive, the top one is 8mm 15 deg offset, the bottom is 10mm straight.
