A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

93-98 GSXR 1100 header fitment question

Ok, so the 86-92 headers will work, albeit an exhaust collar mod, right.
The spacing is correct...

But is the header tube spacing AND the collar are what is wrong with the 93-98 GSXR 1100 header. Can they just be modded to fit or is there something else I'm missing? What is wrong with the watercooled Gsxr's headers to make it fit the GS1000 or 1100's?

Thanks

The spacing is wrong and the tubing sizing is wrong to use a watercooled GSXR header on a GS. I tried to use a nice GSXR 1000 Ti header on my project, no dice. The other watercooled Gixxer headers are the same story.

Real shame, guess that's a no-no to the Ti-Yoshimura 4-1 with CF can.

On the same header note, that Bandit header I bought off Fleabay over the winter turned out to be for a 600 and not the 1200, collector bangs the oil pan. It was listed as a 1200 and they look the same.

I'm back to running my rusty V&H 4/1. I have a gixxer parts guy keeping an eye out for a 4-2-1 setup, day before I called him he sold a Hindle and Yoshi 4-2-1's.

How are the Supertrapp mufflers any good? Thinking about the 4' diameter 10" long version tucked right in front of the rear wheel.

which one is that?

If I was a starting from scratch ; I might consider this. It probably fits just about like the SS 4:2:1 and with a little teak woudl be nice pipe especially for the price

A little more bling.

I was stuck on 4:2:1 for ground clearance on Gixxer conversion.

i have that exaust on my 1150 and it fits very well. the only mod was the flanges ,other than that it bolted up very nice.
have a look in my profile for some pics of the system on the 1150.
as far as putting it on a 1000 or 1100 it would take lots of mods and probably not work that good anyways.
good luck .....toolman

Which pipe you talking about. Your 1150 looks to have the 88-92 GSXR 1100 exhaust we were discussing in another thread.

BTW I took an 1150 Yoshi 4:1 and by cutting off about 4" off the midpipe and relocating the hanger 3" it now fits an 1100E. header required no mods.

I've read on the OldSkoolSuzuki site that they took 2001+02 GSXR 1000 factory headers and made them work. I can't see how with the angle of the bend coming off the motor.
