You have over 9 months to earn those Brownie Points, Fido..
I do indeed! I'm thinking playing dead is the safest for now, but I may end up playing sit up and beg...

A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.
A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.
A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

"Honey? Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?"I do have a cunning plan to get her on the back of the bike, but I don't know that that will happen that soon...
If you do it that way you have to strap her across the back seat instead of having her sit on the seat. The cops find that really suspicious...here in the states anyway... unless your in some parts of Louisana and Lower Alabama..

Almost.Have I rambled on enough for ya.

Well, well, well.
I had to dig back through a lot of pages to find this thread.
I must apologise for my sudden absence.
I went back to school and got me some smarts in the form of a Training & Assessment Certificate.
I am now qualified to train and assess students, workers etc
I haven't studied since 1985. It took a lot of effort and time to get my head back into the swing of it.
I swear I could smell burning dust, like an old oil heater that hasn't been used for a few years.
As it was a pretty intense course (for my dusty, old brain anyway) I pretty much curtailed all net time and got stuck in.
Consequently, the bike is still where it was 4 months (5?) ago.
I will never giggle about your extended rebuild time again, Pete..
If all goes well in the morning I shall be starting a new job that, while extending the hours a bit, will be bringing in some serious coin.
The half formed plan is to pull the motor and take it out to the mate's engineering shop and have it soda blasted.
While it's out there, the frame will come back and be done in gloss black and the body repainted in proper paint by a proper painter.
Yes, my mate ahs finally moved down from Queensland and brought a selection of quality PPG gear with him.
Or I just throw it on the road as is and ride, baby, ride!
I do like Plan B.
