All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Well, at least you took your buddy out, too....:p

KIDDING OF COURSE!!!!

Glad to hear you survived and will live to ride again. Heal up well and always look at the bright side - at least you now can (justifiably) start looking for a new bike!

Hi Joe,

Glad to see you're OK.
19 stitches... Is that your new record?
Next time, don't wreck a Yamie to get free time to wrench the GS...;)

Get well soon buddy.

Wow, glad to hear you're "OK" Joe. What kind of pants and footwear were you wearing? Curious because I just purchased a pair of these for a pretty penny:

and I'm really happy with how they turned out. It seems like some gear really saved your ass. Good to know you at least had a jacket and helmet on! I used to ride in jeans but now I'll be in these things.

Hope you heal quick and are back on the bike(s) soon.

I don't like hearing about a Yamaha going down either. :D Better to make it a Honda if you are going to dump one.:p

Chris

WOW brother, glad you're okay. Looks like you are the March poster boy for ATGATT. Glad you were in uniform! Heal good and fast my man!

J,

Like I said in the PM I'm glad your ok. Bike doesn't look that damaged to me. Are the forks bent? Might be time for the R1 fork upgrade if they are.

Isleo,

Yeah the bike actually starts, rear cowling is busted up, seat is torn, not sure on the forks I will know more this week, front fairing and speedometer cluster needs to be replaced, handle bars are bent, radiator is shot, lots of little stuff to be replaced and of coarse labor at $85 per hour. If it's totalled I may buy it back from the insurance and rebuild it myself. Not sure yet..as soon as I can move around a little better I'll decide. depending on what the insurance says I may take the money and trick out the 1100 the way i want to.
