A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Ouch, damn Greg, that sucks, let down by the product, I have seen your work, and to deal with junk like that must bite.
I have no doubt, it will get sorted out and be no more than a distant memory.
Should that red for the skunk not have a bit more maroon in it, I don't know, just asking?

Yes Stan it will be overcome. For my bike this is the right red.But the bad day just bit me again.Pinched the tubes:mad::o:eek::twistedevil::-s

Jeeeez Greg, who did you pizz off, your week is starting to sound like mine,......from hell.
At least you are making good progress, unlike me, and I am enjoying every minute of it, keep the updates coming.
With Oshkosh 10 weeks away I am putting every cent in the cookie jar, so poor Jennifer is feeling a bit neglected at the moment.
Of course having two cars throw tantrums, Renault aircon pump, and Beemer starter, as well as an oven going on strike and my little one having his teeth done, all within a week, don't help, so I feel your pain, you are not alone.
As a grumpy old crew chief said to me, chin up, it will all work out. ;)

Greg, my vote goes with Stan. Chin up, learn and forge onwards.

Dupli-color makes a nice etching primer that I 'heard tell' can be sanded and coated with a sandable primer in preparation for spraying your top coats.
http://www.duplicolor.com/products/selfEtchingPrimer/ ***note*** only to be used on metal and fibreglass. Not plastic.

OK here's the plan. The seat trim and tail are fine so I will just need to redo the tank. That is under way.Have to find some decal material. That stuff seems hard to get here.Recommendations on where I might look?None of the automotive places here seem to carry any.

Check with the artsy fartsy places.....like Michaels, well that is what it's called here, or any hobby shop, and or a place that does window tinting, or a graphics place, that does signs, those magnetic ones you can stick on cars and such...

I got my decals and pin striping from a vinyl letter cutting place. They did some sign writing on one of my cars for me so I figured the materials they use would be suitable for the bike. I sent them a scan of the decal and they cut it in white vinyl and for the pin stripes they just cut me 3mm strips in the required colour (gold and black).
This photo not the greatest quality but should give the idea.

Thank you Bill and Eric. There are 2 sign places locally so I should be able to get 1 to help with this.
Fixed 1 of Saturdays boo boos

I certainly thought it was a good deal, and I actually think SVSooke pointed them out to me...Thanks buddy....

Wooohooo Greg! You got a roller!

And yes, +1 on Rennsport, it was cheaper for me to get mine shipped from there than buy it locally...

And Rennsport is a deal!
