I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

i am looking for a nice after market tach and speedo i want pics of peoples on here

difficult to find 160mph and 14k tacho aftermarket gauges. maybe you could graft on some GXSR1000 clocks?

Try Mike's XS for analog speedos and tachs, or Trail Tech for digital. I use a Trail Tech Vapor on my 550. Works great. About $175 with the indicator light surround.

Very nice! I might have to go that route, even though I'm not a fan of having that wire running down the fork. I guess it's no different than the mechanical speed sensor cable though.

I was going to just go with the 2.5" speedometer from DCC and build my own bar graph LED tachometer, but that's a pipe dream right now.

As mentionned below you can use a GSXR dashboard;)
Here's one from a GSXR 1100 1st gen

And another from a GSXR 1100 2nd gen

www.speedhut.com

I ordered a set for my Datsun there last winter. Top quality stuff!
And now they sell tachos with 14k redline :) So I'm contemplating buying a speedo and tach for my gs

I like the looks of those gauges, wonder how hard it would be install in my bike?

Wow. That Dan-Moto is perfect looking... And at $110 seems like a damn good deal.

I haven't heard much about the Dan Moto gauges, I was looking around for info before I bought my Acewell. They're not as well finished and the wires don't look waterproofed but it's probably fine.

Here's my Acewell setup as it sits so far.

To be honest, I do like the Acewell much better having a thorough look at it (went to a local bike shop today after my eye exam). But, it isn't too hard to weatherproof that gauge cluster especially if I don't plan on opening it in the future. Plus, for me, less money=:D

But, in no way am I trying to half-ass this. I will probably just stick with the stock gauges and whatnot for now. Maybe after I get my taxes back I will buy myself something. Then again, engine and starting her come first :-\\\

I really like this... do you have a complete front from a gsxr? Or is it posssible just to swap the speedo and tacho units? I have a gs550e...
Thanks, J

The real question is, "How do I get my bike to fully utilize the 999 mph limit?".

On both bikes I have the complete GSXR front end ( see my other threads) but you can use these dashboards on any GS bike as the speedometer is fed from the front wheel pick-up and the electronic revcounter is fed from one of the coils;)
