A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Alcohol as fuel

a budy of mine had a trike, the motor was from a old vw air cooled.

a few other problems to point out on using ethanol for a fuel sorce. to go the same distance as 1 gal of gas it takes 1.5 gal of ethanol. I cant find the web site any more. one enviro from germany took a good look at how much farm ground would be needed to supply germany with corn for a years supply of ethanol. it would take the hole land mass of germany for a weeks supply, to make the hole year it would take the combined land mass of the ussr, usa and germany.

I live less than 10 miles from a ethanol plant. a budy of mine cant sell his house the plant is less than a 1/2 mile from his house. he has a lovely hole in the ground that was a swiming pool, its now a black fungus pit with matching grass.

ethanol is fun to play around with but not good for a full time replacement.

check this out. trash can be turned into oil.

WOW , that crazy you also have more of chance of catching on fire to and the only way you can see it burns blue no yellow or orange so it harder to see so be carefully, you can always just add it to your gas .you can try ratio's like 8onces. per 5 gallons

If I remember correctly, you can make a cocktail of sorts with vegetable oil, and use it as fuel for diesel engines. no conversions needed.

Its a pretty simple solution to reducing emmisions, and it provides jobs to farmers who grow veggies (most likely soy) and for the plants to produce it.

I wont get into it, because it gets too political......but we know why its not being implemented on a serious scale. wouldnt take much.

but it would be interesting to see if they could fuel a bike on liquid hydrogen

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

My Cummins powered Dodge pickup has seen two gallons of used motor oil poured into the tank at every oil change. It has 80K on it now with no problems. Once, I even added a gallon of corn oil that had gotten a little rancid. It actually has a little mor power with the oil added to the Diesel.

"..... a 175-pound man fell into one end, he would come out the other end as 38 pounds of oil, 7 pounds of gas, and 7 pounds of minerals, as well as 123 pounds of sterilized water"...... LOL!!. I'd use the oil, the gas and the minerals no problem..... but there aint NO WAY you'd get me to drink that water!!
