If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I have found a brand new gsx1100g for sale with under one mile on odo.
It has never been gassed or oiled.
It is still on orig. mso at orig. selling dealer.
Should the engine be okay after this amount of time, or do you think there may be problems associated with it sitting for over 15 years.

There probably was oil in it. Check inside the gas tank for rust. Tires might be dry rot. Very cool find ! How much ?

Of course, the dealer is going to say "it's NEW".

See if they will back that up with a new vehicle warranty. :-\\\

.

Here is the link to the bike: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Suzu...eZRSSQ3aBQ3aSRCHQ3aUSQ3a101QQsalenotsupported

This is the orig. selling dealer. I know someone that looked at it about 2 years ago.
It had .7 miles at that time, and was very dusty because it was sitting in a warehouse for many years. The dealer took it off the showroom floor years ago because he was constantly being asked to sell the (now) rare accessories on the bike. He insisted he wants to sell the bike as it sits, with fairing, bags, and rack.
Opening bid is $5k, but when I called them about 2 years ago, I spoke with the owner, and he told me it would take $8k at that time. I don't know if that is the reserve or not.
He also had (and may still have) a brand new Honda CBX with no miles that he wanted $20k for.
This 1100g was never prepped, so I don't think it's had oil or gas in it. It says on ebay that there is no warranty. I wonder why not? It's still on mso, so shouldn't there be a warranty? Maybe there is, but the guy listing it says it does not?

You'd really have to want that model to pay that price.

Not a collectible, would at least need tires and could have other problems, like dry seals or rust inside the tank

I'd pass at that price

Looks like a nifty unit, those bags and fairing make for a nice package. I think you should plan to go through it like any other old bike though: new tires, change out all fluids, new battery, etc. As already stated, look for rust in the gas tank. Regarding price, $5000 seems reasonable but $8000 strikes me as high. As far as the warranty is concern, its crazy to expect Suzuki to cover a bike that’s pushing 20 years old.

Sounds like a bit of money, but what a great bike. :) This was one of those great bikes that just didn't sell in huge numbers and were not brought to the states very long.
