A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

With my recent surfing I uncovered this exhaust from a company i really don't know... From what I can deduce the company is across the world from me, but has anyone heard of this? "Motad" It seems like a fairly good deal at $261 + the shipping.

Not familiar with the product, just wondering if it is a 4-1 or 4-2 and I think the prices are in Pounds.

Motad is a fairly common system in the U.K. I would guess a couple rungs higher up the performance/quality ladder than a local Mac system......surely one of our Bri'ish members will comment. ;)

Tony.

Hi as one of your tame british members i can tell you a little about motad exhausts :)

Motad have been making exhausts for a very long time & the quality is not bad but they are firmly in the cheaper end of the market, you wont get a performance gain from this particular exhaust but it will bolt straight on & you wont need to re-jet, these exhausts are very common here in the uk with people who want a no fuss exhaust

hope that helps a little :)

Totally agree with Tone on this one. A Motad would NOT be my choice for a replacement exhaust system.

Hmm, well this seems to be my only other option that I have found for an exhaust system. For my model of GS, it's either a MAC, which is on backorder till forever in the states, or this thing... Unless you guys know of any others ^^ riding an 81 GS650G

The macs are all over ebay usually for the GS650G? Did you have a look there?

Hi
I have one on my gsx750.
Good points
they are stainless steel
They retain access to oil filter and center stand
They are quiet

Bad points
they are quiet and look boring.

If you are after a exhaust that will last forever and be quiet and socially acceptable. Its a good choice:D
If like me you are an antisocial git ...then you will hate it lol
(ps its a good exhaust honest ;))

Yes I have been keeping an eye out there, I can find a ton for the 550's and 750-1k's, but never for the 650. From what I understood from the info others have posted is that the 650 cannot interchange exhaust wise with any other models... say a 750 etc. Am I wrong? Because in all honesty I want something that has a good growl to it, but not something that will make my ears scream for mercy on the interstate and high rpm situations... (I do a lot of uphill mountain passes)

wemoto do a marshall deeptone for gs650's

I've got one on my 750, sounds lovely. The motads used to be a common replacement here, as they use standard jetting etc., but they are unexciting indeed.

That would be this one.
A little pricey at $445.00 USD.

Sorry, the 650 fitment is $413.00. The $445.00 is for the 850.

Did you have to rejet or are you running pods? Might be a winner, by the looks of it, since i hear the Mac's rust out...Not really feeling that lil piece of info..

Btw whats different from the 650's and all the others?
