I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Anyone looking for a low cost SH775 harness?

Crimp on spade terminals sealed in electrical safe RTV. Works just fine and you can more easily bend the wires than when using a bulky connector if your application needs that.

How low is low cost? And why are you selling? Did you not like it on your bike?

Mine was done the same way without the sealer, I used barrel crimps to patch it into the old harness since it was done in an "emergency" situation. Knowing that by sealing it there was no way to disconnect the new regulator from the bikes main harness, I held out for the opportunity to get the $8 regulator harness and solder the joints into the existing main harness which allows me to disconnect it.

If someone wants to be able to remove the R/R all they need to do is attach crimp on terminals to the loose wires.

- Connect the stator wires with the R/R input wires. Be sure to bypass the original harness wires on the bike. You can use crimp on spade or bullets if you want to be able to remove the R/R easily in the future.

- R/R negative goes to the battery. A ring terminal will allow attaching the wire directly to the battery post.

- R/R positive output wire goes to the same place the original R/R plugged into the harness, usually using a bullet terminal. This line Tee's and one leg goes to the ignition switch and thus, feeding the bikes needs. The other leg goes though the fuse box and then over to the battery.

When mine went on my 82 450 I mounted the 775 under the cover on the opposite of the bike where the tool kit would have been, that's right above the battery. The harness was cut off where the wires enter the old regulator and re-routed over the frame toward the other side where the new one is. It ended up about 4-5 inches short and some extra wire was crimped on there to make it over to the regulator, the ground off the 775 goes directly to the battery. Looks like the snow will be flying soon but I'm sure it won't stick around long. When the bike does come off the road I'll be in need of something to do and running directly to the stator output will be done.

You might want to redo your wiring per the guideline provide earlier. Running the stator feed through the main harness can lead to melt down because one leg goes up to the hand control connector before it heads back towards the R/R. Resistance in this convoluted path can lead to excess heat and result in harness damage.
