A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Yeah. Just read about his lying about being stock. Oops!? Hard to believe what he says at all now. That was the main reason for this thread going on.
I still think my '79 would take him.

Is yours the time on the right or the left? What were you racing against?

Looks like a Sacto. ticket. Hey jr4bush, bring 'er up to my get-together. We'll see how your bike does against my old slow 1150

If we are to believe that 10 is his, and it could be, with that mph in the back half he must have about a 40hp shot of juice or $5000+ in engine work.

Harley released a Screamin' Eagle Vrod Destroyer last year set up stricly for the strip. Wheelie bars even came with it, straight off the showroom floor. Experienced riders were getting in the high 9's with it. I'm guessing this is what our man has here, which means he wasn't lying, it is bone stock (with cams, head work, carb, velocity stacks, pipe, air shifter etc.).

This bike will smoke any stock GS bike with a good pilot.

I still wanna race it!!

Man, after posting that pic, I'm again reminded how UNBELIEVABLY HIDEOUS looking those bikes are. Harley designers need to drink less Old Millwalkie... :-& :-& :-&

I like it Geoff. A lot :D

To each his own though. If I were to get an HD, it would not be the Rod.

Good of you Jethro giving Mr. Trollbush the benefit of the doubt, but go back and look at his timing slip...it's dated August of 2004, bit before the Destroyer. This guy is a keyboard racer.

Get used to it, with pollution controls coming soon, I am willing to bet every HD will have that engine, or a variant of it..

How do pollution controls have anything to do with the physical styling of the bike in this case? That's not the problem.

1550 stroked, no nitrous, no turbo, no blower.
Believe what you will.....I'm out. Hope to meet up with you guys some day....Have a nice day

Still wanna race the Vrod, but he's not willing to play...\\:D/

Exactly. The motor seems fantastic, I just don't like the go-cart looking frame on the outside of the gas tank. And is that an air scoop on the front? They aren't liquid cooled, right? The tank looks like a half a grapefruit, or maybe a turtle shell.

Otherwise there is no doubt that this is the best motor in a Harley yet. They are fast, for sure. That's why I wanna race it!

I think he is closer to me than to you. The drag slip is from Sacramento. I'd love to run with it! BTW, yes, they are liquid cooled.

I liked that silver one they came out with a few years ago. It IS kinda funny looking, but I like it. If I were to buy a Harley, it would be a Vrod. At least I could keep up with my friends. :-D

A liquid cooled Harley that goes fast. Hell has frozen over.
