DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

nice hope you didnt pay to much my friend picked up a kz 1000 at a swap meet for 1,500 runs low 9 s dont look prety but goes good for the money

Number one... gots to look good.
Number two...I got about 180 hp that says I will be close.
Number three..I finally got a true track bike.
And I would love to see that bike. Go to the track with him and video his runs. I would love to see an ugly 9...
Curt

My small tire bike has stock cams & 140 HP at the wheel. It has gone 9.19 @ 145. 180 HP should put you in the 8.60-8.70 range pretty easily. At least if you are 200 lbs or less.
Ray.

Ray,
Wouldn't that be a blast. I am putting that motor in the new frame. Then to the dyno. Trip has been helping a lot... He has been running steady 8.90's

I started with the wiring system and dash configuration - the last owner must have been a trucker because the switches were HUGE!!

How big is that motor? If it is 1166 or bigger, 38 RSs or Lectrons will make a LOT more power!
Ray.

Ray,
That is a stock motor. We are just getting everything working and then swapping the 1327 from my other bike into the new frame... I will probably have to switch this winter. Unless Mr. Wizard(Trip) and I get this thing running in the next week. The weather has been great this summer. I hope fall lasts till Christmas...

ok guys, if you are watching this bike was a project started by ??? and getting finished by Bellucci and myself. last 2 nights in a row we have put on the finishing touches and so this thing is READY TO RIDE. however it looks like the winter engine switch turned into tomorrow

everything done , belluuci and I got 'er fired up- it started so easily firing on all 4 - rear tire up in the air on a jack,, went to change gears..... well it seems we have neutral and first -- no more.

life of a race biker- pull the engine again - drop the pan - go thru the clutch again and again. adjust the chain, charge the batteries, get race gas and another gasket kit... wha? is dinner already cold? I'll be in in a minute .

I know he pulled the big engine last night -e mail at 12:05 So I yanked this one in under a half hour this morning.

pix will be along as we go.

Turns out the trans ain't quite right in the stock motor... It does run, but I figured it was easier to just put the good motor in the new frame. Started last night and got it out by midnight. Back to Trips with the good motor...
At least we got the wiring and the relief for the chain done. Also mounted the Dyna goodies and installed the chain... If we aren't careful, it might run and hit the track by Sunday... Naaa...
Curt

Two shakedown passes and a full assault on the third run. My guess is 9.90. Any takers

Which track/tracks do you plan on running?

And make sure you post up if you go for a T&T or a race...I might be able to make it out there...

It will be Great Lakes in Union Grove,Wi. The track south of you is great, but I know the folks in Wi. Or I might take it down the 4 lane in front of work...

Well south of me is RT66, which I never enjoyed racing at.
Now Byron, to the west of me, and the 2WheelSpeed series was/is outstanding...although I hear attendance is down this year.

zByron was the one I was thinking of... Great lakes is 40 min. Byron is an hour plus. Once things get settled, I will let you know when we are going... maybe meet in LZ and follow or go with... I know you are seasoned like Trip... And if it runs good, you take a swing at it...
Curt

Stock motor out in 20 mi. 1327 in with carbs, exhaust, and electronics in 50 min. Finishing the wiring hopefully this weekend... We are having fun..
