A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Anybody got a source for the little metal plates that push down on the badges pins? missing one. Will swing by a boneyard in Sarasota if it is still working next week if I cant source some.

Many of us use Parts Outlaw, which might not be too far from you. It is in Deland, which is between Orlando and Daytona.

If you look on the parts fiche, look on the Frame Cover fiche, you will see them. Parts Outlaw has a flat-rate shipping charge of $9.99 most of the time, but occasionally they run an un-advertised special. When you get to the checkout window on the website, enter the word BANG in the promo box, see if it works. In times past, shipping has been free, $1.00 or, more recently $1.50. My last order was a couple months ago and it worked then, but I have seen reports that it is not working at this time. Good luck.

Thanks they have them . Code doesnt work, 9.99 shipping for a 1.75 part. will check the boneyard first, but I will need one.

When you decide to order, be aware that it will be about two weeks before you receive your order. I was told by another dealer that they have to have a minimum order before they place an order with the warehouse. I think that minimum was about $500. If you happen to be one of the last orders that puts them over that magic mark, it might be a few days quicker, but they have to place their order with the warehouse. The warehouse has to gather all the parts form the various corners of the storage area, then ship it to the dealer. When the dealer receives the order, they have to separate it out to all the different orders that they need to fill, then finally get it sent to you. Yep, takes about two weeks.

Yep, looks like the BANG code is not working again. Time to give them a call and suggest its restoration.

I work as a parts manager at an Acura dealer. I used 90672-SW5-003 on mine. You can get them at any Honda or Acura dealer. MSRP $1.48.

I'd think a local ace or true value might have a flat push nut in the nut and bolt section.

Or 3M double sided tape on the back of the badge and don't bother with them. It's held mine on for the past 15 years or so.

got one off a side cover at the boneyard. Put some automotive 3m trim tape also . Should be good for another 35 years.
