I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

I have the third set of mirrors (supposed to be back to used originals) on my 81 GS750E and still wish I could see better around my arms and shoulders.

I have superbike bars .. 29 or 30".

Do bar end mirrors solve that issue ?

Anyone have some suggestions ?

I noticed 8trackmind has some cool ones on his 78 1000.

Well he's a cool guy. Of course he would have cool mirrors on his cool GS1000.
The real question is: Are you cool enough for mirrors like his? :-s

( J/K... Yes, you can see around your shoulders very well. I love 'em)

I am sure that I am not yet worthy .. but as I progress, where could I find mirrors like yours ?

I have no Idea. I stole them off of my brother's project bike.

Ninja_Lancer: Where did you get those mirrors I stole off your bike?

Yes, get barend mirrors. If you can afford CRGs, they look very cool. I think I have Napoleons or maybe Emgos. Cheap and you don't see a bit of your shoulder.....and they make you look like you're actually serious about this motorcycle thing.

Jeff, do you have pictures of your setup?

Of course.
(and I though you guys were sick of me posting more pics)

Thanks guys .. I will let you know when I have cool bar end mirrors too.

Mike

your local pedal bike shop may have some that fit into the end of the 7/8" bars. i looked at some that were $10-$15 but didn't end up getting them. still might if i quit letting friends drop the poor bike :)

YMMV, but every set of EMGO mirros I've bought were crap.

I'd reccomend anything but EMGOs.

Pair of those in the spare parts box .. were on the bike when I bought it.

I agree.

Mike

I've used bar end mirrors for about 15 years on my 650. I had changed to a superbike bar and got a great view of my elbows with the stockers. Also, the buzz I got through the bars put my hands to sleep. The mirrors solve the two problems: I can see behind me and their weight damps the vibration in the aftermarket bar. A picture is attached.

Just my opinion but I recommend paying the extra $$$ and getting the Napoleon brand. They have a better mounting system than the Emgo brand and will last a lot longer. The Napoleons I have on my GS are at least 15 years old and have held together very nicely.

Yeah, I'm not sure which I have - I've had both - but mine are probably Emgo because they don't seem to hold up as well to the elements. Still, this pair has been on for about six year, work fine, look.......well......like the rest of my bike. I'd spend the extra cash if I had your bike, Joe. Of course, after a few years, it would look like any other bike I've owned. ;)

The mirrors in the Napoleans are way superior to the EMGO brand. I wanted something minimal so I went with the bike mirrors. They actually work pretty good and the optics are good quality.
