    A note to new registrants...
All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Been a while... hello!

I was on here a long time ago... in any case, here's my bike:

20200502_073901.jpg

1983 GS1100E. BS36SS w/Dynojet and pods, factory pipe and wheels, stainless lines, LED headlight and aux lights.

The engine and carb tuning were done by our very own Bill (Chef1366), paint by me. Decals are on the way.

Just re-registering and seeing what's new.

So hello again, everyone!

:D

Welcome back, your username sounds familiar. Did you by chance have a bike with counter shaft issues last time you were here?

Beautiful bike that will look even better when the decsls are put on.

Did he say he was putting decals back on it, or are you suggesting he do so?

Every time I see your Avatar, I think you're looking out of a space helmet. :)

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

@dorkburger, you're right. That was me with the 1150 having those issues.

@posplayr and @Chef1366, come say hello! Don't be shy... :p

Interesting...pods but no 4-into-1. Frequently, it's the other way around.

How's she run?

Fantastic! Like I said, Bill built the motor and rejetted the carbs. In 1st and 2nd, the front gets super light around 7k, roll on from a stop is like its fuel injected (idle set at 1100), and I've had her at a speedo indicated 125 with plenty more oomph (I'm 6'2", 280 lbs). Midrange transition into the powerband is almost turbo like. She runs.

Gonna get some RS36's and a 4 into 1, cartridge emulators for the forks, a fork brace, and maybe some Ohlins for the rear. Then she'll be done. :)

This ain't fair!!! Your blue "83" GS1100E looks really great. My orig. dark, dull, drab, ugly, no contrast, blue "83" GS1100E looks terrible. Suzuki should have asked you to pick the color for that bike. I like orig. stuff on old bikes, but I would trade my orig. body work for yours, if you really wanted to. Seriously, it looks way better than orig., really nice. Welcome back

Welcome back! All that "go" with not a lot of "stop"... Even Bill uses the brake upgrade these days I think :)

Sorry rob, don't know how or have the stuff for pictures. Mine looks like everybody else's dark, dull, drab, ugly, no contrast blue "83" GS1100E. Always remember, just my opinion. Dang x01660's looks good, now waiting to see it with the finishing touches

I appreciate it, guys. It's actually a rattle can job. Rustoleum Custom Electric Blue Premium chrome paint. But I took my time doing it. :)
