A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Would anyone tell where I can buy a Best-Buy rear shock to replace the stock shock of GS1150?

Hagon of UK?
Bitubo of Italy?
Any more suggestion?

Hagon are a good compromise between quality & price :-D you wont get much better damping from shocks at twice the price or more, just more things to fiddle with which equals more ways to screw it up :?

hagon will build you a shock to match you weight & the way you ride for a little more cash then their stock replacement shock which is a good deal if you are a bit of a porker or real skinny like me

I've got a Hagon on mine, nice unit for the price. Had it in only three weeks after placing the order.

I could find the part no. of the relpacement shock for GS1150 from Bitubo (S0019-XZE01) and Hagon (M63087), the price at Hong Kong dealer is that bitubo is HK$5,200 (=US$666) and Hagonis HK3,000 (=US$385)
I can not find the no. for Progressive and other.

Could you tell me the other part no. and where I can but on-line?

I am going to try and fit a Hayabusa shock on my 1150 next week.

The bad...

1) The "reservoir" will only fit if the air box is removed, which is not a problem seeing as I have pods.
2) The bottom mount is different than the stock 1150 one. Lucky for me a good friend of mine welds aluminum for a living and I have the busa mount/bearing that we will try to graft on to the shock body.

The good...

1) I bought the new shock for $75 shipped to my door. You may be surprised how many wrecked Hayabusas are out there.
2) The new shock is fully adjustable.
3) Can't be any worse than the Yamaha unit I Macgyvered in there last year.
4) Same length eye to eye as stock.

I'll follow up on this thread once done if there's any interest.

Actually, I'm surprised there are not MORE wrecked Busa's out there....
