anyone have black handle bars?

jcwhitney has an option for black superbike bars and was wondering how they looked vs the chrome.

thanks

I have black clubman bars on my project bike. I think they will look great, but it's no near completion, so no telling for sure.
I do not like chrome though.

im not a fan of chrome either, if you have pics of the the black bars thatd be awesome, are they matte black or are they still shiny ?

i have black clubmans. love the way they look. my bike is parked and its still a project as well, but damn those clubmans looks badass in black powdercoat.

i would like to see pictures as well. might consider trading my chrome clubmans for some black ones.

Take a look at my bike. I have black superbars.
Click on Electrolux in my signature.

Let me know if you want a better photo

black is the way to go. Thanks.

I'll try and get a better shot of the bars tomorrow

I put black anodized solid alumimum bars on mine a hundred years ago. They're sort of a daytona kinda superbike bend (and wide). I occasionally go back and try the stock bars, but never more than a ride or two (as in my sig). After twenty five years or so there is a very slight fading but they still look pretty good. I need to post a pic.

Can't see them real well, but the bars on my wife's 850L are black. They came off a 1980 KZ1300B Touring model. They have about as much rise and pullback as the stock L bars, which were missing when we got the bike, and my vertically-challenged wife needed them and some set-backs to be able to reach the bars.

All depends on the look you're going for. A little contrast can be a good thing too.

I have black motoX bars on my FZR streetfighter.

Chrome don't get you home.

Hey Steve,

I don't suppose you might know or be able to estimate the rise, pullback and width of these bars would you?

I'm trying to change the bars on my 82 GS1100GL because they're too far forward for me to be comfortable. I ordered the stock bars only to find they are discontinued even though still listed in parts fiche's.

Bwringer tell's me that was a blessing in disguise as the stock bars are instruments of torture and suggested some Bikemaster Daytona's but the dimensions of those bars seem more like what I have now (if I'm measuring/estimating them correctly):
rise - 5.36"
pullback - 3"
width -29.2"

Bikemaster also have a Nighthawk handlebar with the following dimensions:
rise - 7"
pullback - 9.2"
width - 28"

I'm wondering if they're more like the stock bars?

mine came with black bars stock original from Suzuki (the 83)
strangly, the one piece of chrome my SV has on it is the handle bar. well that and the fork tubes.
