    A note to old forum members...
    I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

    Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

    Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

    If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

    If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Sup orange cafe buddy? :)

Someone else here had an orange bike that piqued my interest. I also wanted to do something with a checker pattern. Indeed, I found the checker pattern method when cruising for orange cafe images for ideas. So my orange-checker scheme is pretty much a knock-off from the how-to info I found. That bike is much sexier though. Anyway, I am a terrible person. :o

My kickstarter is just a prop now, since the rearsets block the kick lever.

Nice job. I like the cut down front fender. Did you fold the cut edge under or leave it?

I love the tank badge on the orange 2stroke. What's the origin of this badge? I'm trying to decide what to use on my gs450 cafe.

un decided so far how about some Ideas? I think the motor will be powder coated a bronze or gold with black high lights and stainless cap screws. I dont know what to paint the fram?? Ive thought maybe White or even like neon something bright! It could end up like the technicolored dream coat!!
 
This thread is great! Not sure if I'll ever convert my "T" to a Cafe Racer but these are some interesting bikes.

The forks are from an aprilia mille rsv , the clamps I made myself, the swingarm is from a Cbr 1000r wheels cbr900 tank and frame I made those too , seat hump is a seeley g50 item cut down ,

Well the thread says "SUZUKI Cafe"! I hope this counts, since I just found the topic, love all Cafes. My favorite little two-stroke, my 1976 Suzuki GT750 Water Buffalo Cafe, slightly modified, of course. There are some AWESOME bikes in this thread!

I wouldn't call it a cafe, Viper, but it is a very cool build nonetheless.

It epitomizes the "Buffalo" part of the name. Burly,burly, burly!

Building the GT750 Smoker was an exercise in creating a "modern classic cafe" two stroke with contemporary suspension, braking, wheels and running gear. In doing so the GT has been transformed into a much slimmer, lighter version of it's previous self. In the conversion the bike dropped 100 lbs with the modern gear and handles like a modern sport bike while braking is phenomenal with the six pot Tokicos! The seat height is only 32" from the ground and the wheel base is shorter than my Katana. All in all it makes for a pretty entertaining ride.

Admittedly, the only original GT750 parts left on the bike are the frame, motor, radiator, and side covers, every other part is either custom or from another bike.
