A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

i have never seen a vintage kosman aluminum arm...only moly arms.
you have calfab which i believe made the V&H arms also..the 1100 looking arm but longer...maybe 3" over stock.

I love those guys with bad memories - figured it was V&H or calfab - but I thought I would ask. only stupid Q is the one you don't ask.

well who ever made it.... it is too short.

Do the old ones have a center layer like the cross section you have pictured earlier in thread?

i think they was "cheater/sleeper" arms for the street racers...3 inches could be a couple tenths or more.
the OP would know about the front box area as he had to have an original to make his off of.
OP where are you??

Wow, swingarm is almost dead on as originals. Are you making them braced? Just wondering, I have an original underbraced cal-fab on my 82 katana.

Matt,
I am finishing off new brake spondon calpiers, then i will just make five sometime this month for the GS1000 they are 550 each system (2x are already spoken for)

I didn't mean for that reply to look as snarky as it did. I had to have 10 letters in my reply or it wouldn't go through! Could I put a deposit down to hold my place for one?

Just received one of these last week and it is VERY nice.

Any pics of the calipers yet?

Sorry for late replys . I'm super busy getting ready for the daytona 200 with steve rapp .
The spondon brakes should be ready end off march ,only one person on here has these 'Slayer '.Ive been working on it for 6mths now .
XR69 sprocket covers are done ,dry clutches covers should be done by mid year (lots off machining)
swingarms are pretty well sold out besides a couple that I am keeping for my own race bike GS's

The spondon replica brakes ,they are not sand cast but die cast .Expensive but people who race with Ap brakes now find that the sand cast flexes under heavy braking/load .
Since alot off the GS race bikes are 150-180hp I forked out the $$$ for a pressure die cast ,here is a wax sample
